I am a 5'9, 150 lb center / right winger at Brewster High School in Brewster, New York. I play center for my club team and right wing for my high school team, but I feel that center is a better fit for me personally as a player. I have a 4.0 GPA and I am very focused and responsible when it comes to school work. I participate in a Math Honors Society in school where we raise thousands of dollars for St. Jude's Hospital patients. In this club, I also tutor anybody who may need help in the subject of mathematics. I have always been in advanced classes in school ever since they were offered.
In the previous hockey season, I played for a AA team in my town. I was the team captain. I put up around 12 goals and 10 assists and felt that I should try out for a higher level team. In the upcoming season, I will be playing for a AAA team in the AYHL. I hope to continue to help push my team forward and to victory. I made the high school hockey team in 8th grade, where I hardly saw ice time and was only able to contribute 4 points. In my freshman year, I was on the starting line and had 10 goals and 11 assists in 18 games. I was third on the team in scoring. Our high school team finished first in the Conference, but we were eliminated in the semifinals of the playoffs. In coming years, I will be trying to put on more mass and become stronger so that I won't be knocked off of the puck easily. I am very interested in playing junior hockey before heading to college.
Since playing Division 1 hockey will be tough at this point, I am looking mainly towards Division 3 schools, or even club teams. I would like to pursue a career in Biology. Location of a college doesn't matter too much to me, as long as what the college offers matches what I am searching for in a school. I am looking forward to the future, and will look through all possible opportunities given to me.
