Dan DeSalvo '10 Recruiting Profile

My name is Dan DeSalvo. I am a 5 foot 8 inch forward and currently play for the Des Moines Buccaneers in the USHL. I can bring many skills to the table for a hockey club. My strengths include great vision, think the game very well, I can make plays as well as find ways to score. Aspects of my game that need work include, face-offs, getting shots off quicker, and making decisions a second faster. This year playing juniors in the USHL was a big jump from AAA. The game play was so much faster and knew I needed to adjust. It took me a few games to get the hang of the game play, but I think I am handled it well being a "rookie". My dreams ever since I took hockey serious was to play college hockey, then possibly playing in the NHL. As far as school, my biggest priorirty is attending a school that offers my major, which is Accounting. I want to go to a school that has a top end business program. My second priority is opportunity of play. I want to go to a school that will give me an opportunity to prove myself. I would find it nice to be able to attend a school that was closer to home, but I am not shutting the door to schools that may be further from home. Other than that, I am opened minded to any school that is interested in me. Playing junior hockey, I am looking for scholarship money or financial aid.
