Will Guttman '17 Recruiting Profile

You won't find anyone more self-motivated, harder-working, or more competitive than I am. In the five years since I decided that I wanted to be a goalie and taught myself to play the position, I have reached a level that matches or exceeds many of those who have played twice as long. I made my high school varsity team as a freshman, took over as the starter during my sophomore year, and played every minute of every game my junior year. In doing so, I lead my team to the playoffs for the first time in four years. I was the first goalie named to the 2015 SCHL All-Star team based on statistics like my .918 SV% and 3 SO's. I also play for a tier 2 men's league team, which I was invited to join.

When I'm not playing hockey or captaining my baseball team, I spend my time mentoring underprivileged children or helping out at my rink by assisting in the development of the next generation of hockey players.
