My name is Jack Pardue and I have been playing hockey since the age of 6. From the first moment I stepped on the ice I have loved hockey and realized it is a sport I will play as long as I can. Since then, I have played hockey at the competitive AAA level for 10 years and it would be a dream come true to play collegiate hockey to complement my academic experience.
Hockey has become a significant part of my life both on and off the ice. On the ice, I pride myself in working very hard, being a playmaker, winning battles for the puck, and contributing to my team's overall success as an unselfish player. Off the ice, I strive to learn more about the game and have a lot of fun mentoring my 8 year old brother who has an equal love of the game. The work ethic I have learned from having great coaches through the years has helped me tremendously in school as well. The values I have learned from countless hours on the ice have carried over with everything I do, including academics and extracurricular activities. I take school and my studies very seriously in order to not only have the chance to play at the next level, but to be successful after school and hockey.
I have lived all over the country. I was born in Irvine, California, lived in San Francisco for 2 years and then moved to Fairfield County, Connecticut, which is where I discovered my love for the sport of hockey. We have also lived at 6,300 feet above sea level on the shores of Lake Tahoe, Nevada for 4 years. My commitment to hockey was re-affirmed during this time as my dad and I would travel for two hours, three times every week to the greater Bay area to find the the closest competitive youth hockey in the west. We eventually moved back to CT, where I have lived ever since and been fortunate enough to play for one of the most accomplished and competitive youth hockey programs in the country, the Mid Fairfield Blues. I have had the opportunity to play on a USA Hockey State Championship team, as well as National Championship-bound teams. Along with my family and friends, hockey has been a meaningful and significant part of my life.
