David Callihan '16 Recruiting Profile

     It is my belief that as a student athlete, it is very important to do my best in all areas.  This requires a commitment to my studies and sport.  Thus far I have proven that I can manage these two goals.  Coaches and teachers have remarked that I am attentive, high-achieving, responsible, cooperative, hardworking, and mature.  With these qualities, I have proven to be an excellent student and great team player.  This has enabled me to do well academically, which I feel is important for my goal to earn a degree in psychology or risk management.  It has also helped me be a very coachable athlete; coaches have consistently remarked that I have the ability to quickly learn new techniques and ideas.  I have also proven to be mature and responsible, which has helped me become a patient golfer who is able to handle the psychological challenges of the game. Finally, I have an incredible love for the sport.  I have played other sports, but golfing is where I always want to be.  It is my dream to continue developing my skills in this sport throughout my collegiate career and beyond.
