During my time at college I not only want to play golf at a competitive college but I also want to be a big part of that program. I enjoy golf and never had a problem doing what I needed to do to improve my game to a higher level. For the past four years my game has made huge improvements. My average 18 hole score as a freshmen was 90.8 but so far it has been 76 during my senior year and I am trying to bring it even lower. Not only is my swing mechanically better but I have learned how to think my way around a course. Also I have learned how to use my short game to get ahead of the competition when I’m swinging well and to keep me alive when my swing isn’t there. During college I want to either study Finance or Computer Science. Both of these fields interest me and I want to pursue a career in one or both of them. I hope I leave college a much more educated person with the knowledge I will need to succeed. Along with developing my education I also want to develop my game and bring it to a level much higher than it is today. Although I enjoy playing in big tournaments and posting low scores my favorite part about golf is putting in the time on the range and the practice green to improve where I failed last time. I really enjoy looking back and seeing how this has raised my game to the level it is now. I know there is always room for improvement on the course and in the classroom and during college I hope I can repeat the advancements I have made throughout high school.
