8th of 32 (many others WD due to weather), 155 (82-73, par 71, ~6600 yds), tough weather and course in rough condition, greens aerated and inconsistent. Day 1 - brutal weather, 36 degrees with 20 mph winds and wind chill in the 20s, hand warmers weren't warming up and my hands were numb, horrible first two holes then warmed up enough but still had some 3-putts on rough greens, stopped play after 14 holes. I figured out how to better manage keeping my hands warm. Day 2 - finished remaining 4 holes from Day 1 and then played 2nd 18, solid golf with a couple 3-putts on rough greens but a better day. T49 of 96, 83 (41-42, ~7000 yds), team struggled all day to a 341 score (15th of 16 teams), bled some simple bogies on front and needed birdies on back to qualify as an individual (75 was qualifying number), didn't work out, very disappointing. Drove the ball great hitting 12 of 14 FWs with great distance, just missed many approaches on a wet course putting too much pressure on my short game, missed all of my good birdie looks but still had 29 putts.

T29 of 101 shooting 82-72-72 (226) playing just over 7100 yards. The first day I struggled through a bit of a neck injury after sleeping on it wrong and further injuring it while warming up. After that though, I had two solid rounds at even par, the first of which got me just inside the cutline, with solid short game and iron play both days. Driving could use some work and my putting was good inside 6 feet but I couldn't convert many of my birdie putts outside that range until the last 4 holes of the final day. Day 1 - 77 (par 70), T63 of 108, played solid golf until a stretch of holes on back 9 where I missed long, over-clubbed each time, which on this course pretty much means bogey. Looking forward to day 2 to correct that and make the cut. Day 2 - 76, ended T62 of 108, 2 strokes out of the cut. Started the day on back 9 not playing with my best stuff but kept grinding through the second 9, had a birdie chip on last hole I felt I had to make for the cut at 151, missed past the cup. T21 in 72-man field (84-81, 5 strokes from top 10, T10 for underclassmen), started Saturday's round T31. Played 7100 yds (rating 74.3, slope 135) in tough weather conditions. Friday cool with 15-20 mph winds. Saturday upper 40s alternating between heavy and light rain then the winds picked up. Key stat: 32 putts day 1 (18-14), 28 putts day 2 (14-14), no 3-putts over the two days. Two unfortunate holes on back 9 of day 2 made earning a top 10 finish impossible. Home Course (www.oasisgolfclub.com)
This is the only way I could document this information. The course was designed by Arnold Palmer opened in 1998. It plays around 6900 yds from the tips (73.4/137) which I started playing in 2012 averaging a 74. The course is mostly driver-friendly but it has demanding approaches with a lot of water. The course closes on three tough holes, "Arnie's Revenge", about which Mr. Palmer said, "I don't think you will ever see three holes better than the last three here." The course and facilities have provided me a great environment to grow, improve and hone my game. You play all the shots on this course and it seems like the wind is always blowing.
