Jacob Mertz '17 Recruiting Profile

I love competitive golf and everything about it. I love the emotions that it gives me on the course even when they are bad. I want to be able to play competitive golf in college and be able to make a difference on a college's golf program. I will never quit on a golf round even if I get a ten on a hole, I will still try to get the lowest score I can. I try to keep my expectations low because when I do have high expectations, it comes back and bites me on the golf course.  As soon as the weather breaks in the spring, I am on the golf course and don't stop until it snows.  I am planning every available day around golf.  Whether it's practice, play or both, or tournament prep or play, or caddying for my job, I am up early & heading to the course.  I love golf and whoever reads this, please consider me to be a part of your program because I know that I will make a difference.
