I have maintained a 3.0 GPA through my junior year. I picked up my first club at age 3 and never put it down. I put in hours of practice and play every day, even when others dislike the weather. I feel like I am prepared to play better in unfavorable conditions. For example, I placed 1st in my first conference meet of the year - shooting a 2 under par, 70, in the snow. Last year I had my first hole-in-one - in one of my last high school tournaments of the year. The hole ranged 160 yards, using a knock down 7 iron. I have dropped my average score upwards of 8 strokes every year since my first year on the high school team as an 8th grader, because of my dedication and passion that I have put into my practicing, tournaments and lessons every year. Volunteer work: Helping with programs at our church summer camp, helping numerous times at Feed My Starving Children, baking cookies for the elderly, making soup for the homeless. I also plan to put on a summer golf camp for less fortunate kids that can’t afford professional lessons this summer at the golf course that I work at. Personally, I have always received compliments both on and off the course for my strong work ethic, positive outlook and drive for success.
