Bobby Thomas '12 Recruiting Profile

I have enjoyed golf since my early years.  I can first rememebr being 3 years old and chasing my dad and my brother around the course hitting the golf ball with a cut off pitching wedge.  Since then I have become totally addicted to the game.  I won my first tournament in 7th grade playing against high scool age players.  I am the type of player that sets goals and acheives them.  From my freshmend year in high school all of my yearly playing goals have been acheived.  I expect to meet my senior goal and win a Michigan state high school title.  I have been taking private swing lessons from Paul Haase at Miles of Golf in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Coach Haase has seen me play and understands the level of dedication I have to improving my game.  I believe that one of my best attributes is that I am a good athlete and perform well in all sports I have played.  In grade school I played baseball, football and basketball in addition to golf and soccer.  Throughout high school I have concentrated on golf and soccer.  I am a leader and captain and have recommendations from caoaches and my athletic director to support this.  I practice in a manner to promote my team to get better as well as me.  I expect to continue this work ethic as I advance through the college ranks and well in to my adult career,  I have not been heavily recruited for golf nor have I promoted my self in an agressive manner to date.  I expect that whatever university I choose (or chooses me) will get a "diamond in the rough" and can expect to get a dedicated, highly intense, smart, over acheiving, friendly, well groomed golfer and stand up team mate that you will be proud to have represent your golf program and your university.  I will perform both on and off the course higher than you expect.  Please allow me a conversation and/or a visit and I expect you will see the dedicated individual I speak of.
