Since I’ve stepped into the sport of golf in 2015, I knew it was a sport that I could excel at. I’ve always driven myself to try to be better than those around me and golf gave me a perfect opportunity to do so. My persistence and desire for perfection in this game has led lots of self-revelation. I’ve been able to teach myself patience and critical thinking while using my drive and passion to try and become the best I can be. It’s not only in the aspect of golf that I have used these skills. My academic life is one I take very serious, and try to be constantly improving and striving to learn. I want to make sure that I can continue to value my education as a top priority and plan to do so the rest of my high school career, developing my skills in all subjects. My family is another important part of my life, and I feel that they have influenced my personality, values, and ethics and instilled in me these traits that I carry with me to this day. Through constant hours of practice and ups and downs of the game as well as the guidance and advice of my parents, I’ve developed a better sense of the way life works and how to take every day obstacles and solve them. One of these challenges is my aspiration to play college golf and continue my education at a higher level and I am excited to be on the path to achieving it. I feel as though I can be a good contribution to a team not only as a player, but a leader and someone who can get along with all the players and form bonds with them. College golf is not only about the scores, but the relationships and teamwork to achieve a common goal and that is what I set out to help achieve. I want to help the team succeed, both on a competitive level but also having the cohesion that makes the times more enjoyable.
