I have been golfing since I was in grade school. I'm known for keeping my cool and working hard, and the game comes naturally to me. I've never had a golf lesson, but have had my swing analyzed many times, and have been told that I have a swing speed of a professional golfer. I am currently hitting Mizuno forged extra stiff irons. My handicap is currently under 5, and has been consistently falling throughout the summer.
I go to a small high school. When I was a freshmen, we had a JV and a Varsity team, but for the past two years, the team only includes 5 guys. Two of our current golfers are freshmen who have never golfed before, so as a team, we don't typically place well in our tournaments.
I spend my summers golfing, and I've been working at the Kankakee Elks Country Club for two years. I also have experience as a caddy at Prestwick Country Club in Frankfort, which was my first real job. I want to golf in college and work on a golf course professionally some day.
(Although my name is spelled with a k, most coaches (and my local paper) misspell it with a c, so searching for Lucas Kinstner online may return as many results - if not more- than searching for Lukas Kinstner.)

- Out of 3000+ juniors, I was 1 of 32 participants (4 in my age group) who advanced to the 2012 Ryder Cup Youth Skills Challenge finals on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Medinah (Ill.) Country Club. I competed in driving, putting and chipping skills, placing 3rd in my age group. I met the PGA president (profile photo) and got to tee off on hole #1, which combined with the tour of the locker rooms and Medinah clubhouse, was an incredible experience.
