Caleb Fernandez '16 Recruiting Profile

I’m currently starting my senior year (2015/2016) and will be playing in my fourth season at the varsity level.  I continue to play in the JRGOT and SCPGA tournaments to help improve my game competitively and at the same time progress the mental edge I need to excel.  A great improvement to my game over the last few years has been by reducing penalty strokes and errors.  To do this, I play with my coach on a weekly basis to help improve my ball placement to manage the course and my overall game.

Currently, my index is 5.6 (SCGA #1981214, 8/15/2015) and through my hard work and extensive practice have brought that down 14 points over the last 2 golf seasons.  For the past two years my practice level has increased tremendously spending 5 days a week working on my swing at the range, my approach and bunker game, and on the green putting.  Playing 2 rounds a week, I work with my high school coach and swing coach on the course to put my game together.   That has shown in my 18-hole scores continuing to reduce, my low round and averages to reduce, and provide me the desire to continue to work harder and reinforce my love and passion for the game.

I’m looking for the opportunity to be a part of team that extends my hard work ethic and takes my game to the next level to play at ANY college.  My desire is to be an impact and example in the classroom and on the golf course.
