Personal Statement

I am Kyle John,

My goal is to play College golf at the highest level. I am 5'11", 165 lbs, and work out in the gym with a trainer 3 days a week to help with not only strength, but also flexibility. Ideally, I would like to be at a larger size school with a great "college town" atmosphere. I am interested in schools all around the country.

As I enter my senior year I'm excited to finish off on a high for both academics and golf. My high school golf experience has been both exciting and dissappointimg. I helped my team get to the State Championship both years with good rounds at local, regional and Nor Cals only to come up short at the State Final. I'm motivated now more than ever as it will be my last chance to capture the State Championship both individually and for my school.

Academically I made huge strides last year focusing on raising my GPA and preparing for the SAT. I reached both goals! My senior year I will continue to raise my GPA to a level that will help me gain acceptance to every school that I apply. Robert Louis Stevenson School is very challenging and I'm proud of my efforts so far.

I know I will bring a college golf team leadership, confidence and determination to keep getting better. My athletic goals are to play as a freshman, make an impact on a team, and play at the highest competitive level.

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
