Alex King '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Alex King from Neillsville, Wisconsin and I have a great desire to play basketball at the college level.  I am currently a sophomore on the Neillsville Varsity Boys Basketball Team where I am a second year starter as a shooting guard.

A little bit about myself.  Last season as a freshman I earned a varsity starting spot on a senior dominated team by working hard on and off the court.  Our team finished the season with 17 wins and 9 losses and were State Regional Champions. I finished 3rd on team in scoring and also finished 10th in the State of Wisconsin 3-Point Challenge. This current season as a sophomore starter I am leading our team in points and steals.  I am currently ranked 2nd in points in our 9-team Eastern Cloverbelt Conference.  I believe in working hard and developing my skills, not only during season, but also during the off-season.  Throughout the year I spend a considerable number of hours in the gym and weight room.  Besides playing basketball, I am a sprinter and long/triple jumper on the Neillsville Varsity Track & Field Team.

As a student,  I currently have a 3.3 GPA.  I am in advanced math and also enjoy my sports nutrition class that I am currently taking.  While playing college basketball, I plan to take courses to obtain a sports marketing degree.
