Malik Bell '21 Recruiting Profile

First off God has been a major part of my life. Also my mom and dad and my brother and sisters have been a helpful part in my life by being supportive and caring and helping me when I need it. I was born into playing basketball. I started playing when I was 2 years old and it has been amazing ever since. As a kid I used to watch my brother workout in the gym and that kind of impacted me to play basketball.

Through all the time I have been playing basketball I learned that scoring is fun but there is nothing better then watching your teammates score off of your assist. I learned that I’m a shooter and if I’m open I will knock it down and if I see a lane I will drive and finish through contact.

My academic goal is to keep a 4.0 and to be valedictorian my senior year of high school and to keep it up throughout college.

My main obstacle I had to overcome when I was a kid was that I was bigger than everyone on the court and I was underrated because of my size, but as I got taller and older I worked very hard to get in shape and I stayed in the weight room everyday until I got stronger and faster and improved enough to compete with the next level.

I think I have a unique skill set because I love to work and I’m and always told about my work ethic. I also love to learn about new things on and off the court.

All in all I feel like I can compete at the next level and I deserve a spot on your team.
