Duane Hopper '13 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Duane Hopper, I'm a senior and play shooting guard/small forward position at Wylie High School in Abilene,Texas. I've been playing basketball since I was in the 1st grade and have played many other sports throughout my life. I am now 100% commited to basketball. While playing basketball I have been to numerous basketball camps and played in countless tournaments. I am very interested and committed to continue achieving success in academics and basketball. I have what it takes to play basketball and excel in academics in college. I'm willing to work hard and do whatever it takes to get there. The Wylie team made it to the regional finals my junior year and we had a great run. I was awarded All regional tournament, All region, 1st team district, All big country and All tournament at The Catclaw Classic. My senior year was a great year for my team and as a team we made it to the State Tournament and were one of the last four teams to compete for the championship.  We had a great year and had a lot of sucess with a final record of 34-5. My senior year I have earned MVP at the Catclaw Cassic, All tournament at the 55th annual Whataburger tournamnet, District MVP, All Region and All  regional tournament MVP. I have also been chosen to play in  a tournament sponsered by The Fellowship of Christian Atheletes this summer. I am committed in whatever I do and I take basketball and academics very seriously. I strive everyday to get better at basketball and work harder at it than my peers. Education is very important to me and I have mantained a 3.8 average throughout highschool.
