Anthony Pelzer '21 Recruiting Profile

I was raised on the belief that hard work, determination and faith could get me past life’s many obstacles. Coming from a family where both of my parents served in the Army, I have always had strong influences in my life. These traits have helped mold me not only as a person, a student and an athlete but also as a brother, a cousin, a nephew and a grandson. Basketball has always been my passion and it is my goal to use this passion to pursue my purpose in life to go college and make it to the NBA.

I am no stranger to hard work. In fact, I have spent the last 3 years training and improving my craft. Learning the importance of mentors from my mother I have surrounded myself with not only three great trainers but three great men who have all played sports on a collegiate level and work with me weekly to help me realize my dreams. This is a commitment that I have made for the duration of my high school career and plan on extending to the next level as I progress to the next level.

I am currently a member of the Freshman A team at Katy Taylor High School and I have played AAU Basketball for the past 4 years. My goal is to make the Varsity team next year!

Outside of basketball I am a student first; maintaining an A/B average in my NCAA core classes. In additional to being a good student, I am also a Boy Scout. I volunteer regularly and will become an Eagle Scout before my senior year of high school. I enjoy music and cinema and I take pride in being a role model for my younger brother.

Basketball excites me and the prospect of earning a potential scholarship from your school excites me even more, pushes me even more and waters the seed that was planted in me so long ago. To say that I am eager to hear from you would be an understatement. I graciously thank each one of you for taking the time to view my profile.
