As a freshman High school basketball player, there are a lot of things I can learn from college basketball. College basketball did not just come to my attention as a freshman. I've been thinking about playing in college ever since I was in 7th grade. when I first moved to America in 5th grade my basketball knowledge was very small and narrow. I only new the basics; pass and shoot. My interest in the sport grew and it was in 7th grade that I tried out for my middle school basketball team. Unfortunately, I didn't make the school's team and tried again in 8th. In the 8th grade i didn't make it again and everybody told me that my dreams of playing college basketball wasn't realistic and i should quit, but i didn't. I signed up to be the team's manager, so i could learn more about basketball and grow my basketball mentality. It was finally in 9th grade as a freshman that i made the team. I would be a good candidate for college basketball because I'm hardworking and I don't need to be motivated to do things. I'm different from other recruits in terms of academics because I put time and effort into my studies and books. I don't let basketball overwhelm me and my studies, instead I excel in basketball and my studies in my school, while others find that really hard to do.
