Rasmus Bach '13 Recruiting Profile

I was born in Denmark, but moved to Australia when I was one.  The first few years of my life I grew up in a gym, as Mom and Dad were training for and competing in the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games in Team
Handball.  I started playing basketball in Australia when I was 8, both in school and at the AAU level.  The proudest moment I have from Australia was when I was selected to play for the state of Queensland to compete for the national championship. 

In 2008 I moved to Austin, Texas and have lived here since.  It has been an awesome journey and I really enjoy playing basketball here in the US both at school and the AAU level as there is so much more competition here.  

I have always been told I have a natural talent for the game. I am a very athletic player who likes to drive it
to the hole and get contact; if I have the chance I’ll always try do dunk on people.  My best dunk is a 360 and for only being 6'3'' I have a pretty good vertical.  I can shoot well from both  inside and the 3 point line.

I take pride in playing well in defense- it is what I have been taught since I started playing in Australia. I really get a kick out of forcing other people to make mistakes and taking them out of the game mentally. My goal for my junior and senior years is to be First Team All Districts and be the leading scorer on my high school varsity team.
