Brian Heinle '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'4" junior from Brackenridge, Pa. I have been a varsity player for 3 years and a starter for 2 years. I was named 1st team all-section 1A and 2nd team for my county. I would love to continue my basketball career into college. I am open to a variety of schools, I am willing to travel, but the closer to home the better. Financial assistance is important to my family, as my parents will have to support three children in college at one time. I am dedicated to my team and coaches on the court as well as in the classroom. I would like to play at the highest level possible and I am working hard to do so. As my senior season comes to a close, I feel that overall I have truly grown as a player. Several of my goals have been met. My team finished in first place in section. I have met and surpassed the 1000 point career scoring mark, and I have increased my scoring per game significantly. I am, in the most current WPIAL scoring leaders poll, ranked eighth in scoring overall and ranked third in the WPIAL in 3-pointers at 71 for the season. Although, as a shooting guard, my three point shot is my forte, I feel that I play hard and strong at both ends of the court. I lead my team in scoring, but I also lead my team in assists and rebounds. I do love finding the open man and making a great pass for the assist. Despite just finishing a strong season, I still feel that there are many areas that I want to improve in my game, and I plan to continue working with my trainer to reach these new goals.
