I have been playing basketball since I was little. My parents had bought a trampoline and they would move my basketball hoop to it so that I could try to dunk. I started to play on an organized team when I was 6 years old. We had lived in Kent, WA for 5 years and when we moved back to Oregon I had to prove to everyone and myself that I can play, I can take direction and constructive criticism and work hard for what I am so passionate about. I am the kind of person that will never give up, there are always things that need improvement. I was taught to never give up, that the most important thing is to work as a team and stay positive. I am a team leader and lead by example on and off the court.
As a student I work hard to maintain my GPA. As a freshman I struggled a little bit to balance school work and basketball. I go to study hall after school so that I can do what I need to so that I can increase my GPA .
I have played football in the past for 3 years, and baseball for 2 years. I umpire my little brothers baseball games during little league and stay active with the community.
I have been planning since i was little to go to college. I have talked about many different colleges with my parents. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible on and off the court. I hope to become a role model my brother and cousins that can look up to and make my parents proud of what I have done and what I have to look forward to for my future.
