Johnathan Avgoust...Personal Statement
My name is Johnathan Avgousti. I am a member of the graduating class of 2021 and stand 6 feet 5 inches tall in basketball shoes. I have been a member of my school basketball team for 2 years starting on the varsity team. This past summer I traveled to Regina, SK and represented Ontario, starting in the U15 Canadian National Basketball Championships. Team Ontario went 5-0 in the tournament capturing the Gold Medal. I also had the honor of being named MVP for the tournament, averaging 14 points per game. Additionally, I also played with the top ranked UPlay Canada team at the AAU Made Hoops Grand Finale in August, GA, and was also invited to the CP3 Rising Stars Camp. It has always been a dream of mine to play basketball at the university level and I am looking for a school which combines high academic standards with the opportunity to play at a high level.
