Hi Coach,
Updating from two days ago, I was named MVP of the Mariemont High School Holiday Classic. My team Anderson high School won the tournament over Mariemont High School Tuesday night 12/29/14.
I was the leading scorer for the tournament with 26 points.
Currently for the season MY FG % is at 45% Freethrow % is 79 % and 3 pt scoring is at 50 %.
Earlier this Spring, I was named MVP of the Lakota East region tournament for 11th grade. There were for the tournament .. 5 games .. I scored 90 points and had 15 rebounds in two games on Sat 5/16 and Sun 5/17 , I had 50 pts in two tournament championship games Sunday 5/17. I was 6/8 from 3 pt line and shot 88% from foul line. Ave pts per game 19.6, overall shooting %-50, 3 pt shooting- 33%. My strength is motion offense as a 3 pt shooter and driving the basket. Will consistently make assists will go to the foul line. I am improving my rebounding and now have improved on the inside and the outside game.
I am into my Senior Year of Varsity Basketball at Anderson High School. After 5 games, I am leading the team in scoring and FG %. In a recent game against Kings High School, I scored 5 / 3 pt shots in the first quarter and led both teams in scoring that night. My average pts per game is at 12 and rising.
I have started every game this year as a Varsity shooting guard. I understand how important it is to be focused on and off the court. We have several young players on Varsity this year learning plays on offense and defense. It has been a learning curve for the young players. There are two of us who are carrying the team in scoring and rebounding. As a team we are playing well together and have already enjoyed some wins.
I like a motion offense and to play aggressive on defense. My foul shooting percentage is among team leaders as well. By the end of the season, I hope to be leading our team to tournament success.
I do have an important academic goals set this year to improve my focus on academics and improve my GPA. My college goal is to be accepted in a Division III Pre Engineering or Pre Law program. I want to play and start as a Freshman guard at the College level. I will be a productive scorer and leader and will help win a Championship somewhere.
I do intend to play AAU Basketball in the offseason. My AAU coach is my best basketball teacher. He tells me he likes my determination and positive attitude and he is sure I can succeed at the College level if I want it bad enoughas. He coached there himself. He knows Bobby Knight and Coach K .
I realize I probably won't be playing forever but want to extend my game playing days another 4 years if at all possible.
I do hope to have a summer job in Window Sales as well. I like people interaction and hope to make some great contacts for future jobs.
