David (Dj) Blanks Jr. '12 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is David Blanks Jr., everyone calls me D.J. I am 6'3" tall and weigh 180 pounds. I wear a size 14 shoe, and my wingspan is 6'6". I am at one of the best private schools in the nation, St. Vincent - St. Mary High School, the same school that LeBron James graduated from (We often see him there!). I've played for his AAU team, The King James Shooting Stars, since 7th grade. This summer we played in the NIKE Elite Youth Basketball League, stats are attached to my profile. I participted and helped achieve the 2011 State Champion Division 2 award for my high school. We hope to win again in 2012.  I am a quick, slasher that likes to get to the rim and have a variety of different shots. I can play any guard postion including the point. For my size I get a lot of rebounds; people have called me fearless and the garbage man. I have played against some of the best players in the nation such as LJ Rose, J'Mychael Reese, Raseed Sulimon. I rarely make turnovers and  make good court decisions. I'm looking for a school that is academically inclined as well as athletically. At this point I am open to discussion of any type of school. My family is not able to pay for college. I am leaning towards a math or science major but have not made decisions. I would like to earn my spot on a good team.
