"First to Arrive...Last to Leave" That statement says a lot about me as a person and basketball player. I put in the extra time because I love playing basketball and my goal is to keep getting better. I am a 6'4" 190 lb. Senior who finished three years on the Varsity Basketball Team at Webster Schroeder High School. I am hardworking, focused, a team player, and very coach-able. I've always wanted to play college basketball, and I will do everything I can to make it happen.
I haven't decided on a major in college yet, but I've become interested in Business, and Environmental Studies. My athletic goal is to continue to make a difference on a college team by helping them win games, be a positive role model, and a team leader.
As a Junior, I earned several awards: Named to New York State All-State 11th Team - http://www.roadtoglensfalls.com/reference/all-state-2012-large.shtml, was named twice to the 1st Team AllGreater Rochester - http://www.democratandchronicle.com/section/AGR-WINTER02; Was a 2012 & 2013 1st Team All-County Selection; Was named to the 2012 & 2013 Section V All Tournament Team, and other awards noted in my profile.
Academically this year, I earned the Student of the Month Award in October. I was nominated by one of my instructors for my academic achievement and hard work in PE/Team Sports. The award is given monthly to an outstanding student in each department to recognize academic achievement and given to someone who is committed to the ideals of CARE-Cooperation, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
In Dec. 2012, I earned the MVP Award the Spencerport, NY Tournament in the 1st weekend of our season, scoring 29 points in the 1st game and 18 points in the 2nd game. That honor also earned me the title of Monroe County Player of the Week in Section V, Division I. Our team won the AA1 Division 1 Crown, we were Section V Finalists, and I was named to the 2013 Section V All Tournament Team. I was also selected to the Greater Rochester Ronald McDonald All-Star Team as one of 28 players from Section V in the Greater Rochester area, and served at the Team Captain for the GOLD team. I have also been selected to 2013 1st Team All County.
In 2013, I was recruited by several colleges and chose to attend & play basketball for RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology).
