Chinaemezu Agwu '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Chinaemezu Agwu. I am a student at Ramapo High School located in Spring Valley New York. I will be graduating June 2015. I am interested in playing college basketball. Not only am I physically fit to play but also I am academically eligible to attend. I am 6 foot 4 inches and 215 pounds. Within my league at school and as well as AAU I have played the small forward, power forward, and center positions. I am an all-league basketball player in my area as well. To add on to that, I have won the M.V.P award twice in the last four years for both high school and AAU basketball. The AAU teams I have played within the last four years have won numerous state championships for New York and New Jersey. I understand that at my height and weight, the center and power forward positions are not the positions that I would play in college basketball. Because I am so used to playing in the paint my ball handling skills are not as great as a shooting or point guards’. This summer I plan on working to improve my body strength, stamina, and ball handling skills to bring me at or even above the level of small forward, shooting guard, and point guard. I consider myself to be likable, a team player, and one who takes direction and criticism well. As far as my academics go, in college I plan to study either pre-medicine or pre-law. I have not yet decided. But one thing I know for sure is that I want to play basketball!
