Quin Schnieders '16 Recruiting Profile

I want to use basketball to help finance my education at four-year college or university with a great academic reputation and a strong basketball program. My education is my first priority but I will work as hard at basketball as any player you have had. I am still undecided on a major but I would like to learn everything I can about the game of basketball so that I can become a coach at the college level in the future.

I am a good candidate for any program that values the things that I value; hard work, teamwork, unselfishness, representing your team, your family and your school in a positive way on and off of the court, and winning. The thing that sets me apart from other recruits is my work ethic and family background. My parents are successful professionals who are leaders in our community. They have taught my siblings and me the value of hard work and the importance of maintaining a high character and good reputation. My brother recently graduated from college, where he played baseball for 4 years. He was part of a successful program and played in 3 NAIA Regionals, while making lifelong friends of his teammates. He was a 2 time NAIA Scholar Athlete while earning his degree in 4 years. He won numerous academic awards and was continuously complimented for his hard work and dedication on and off the field. I hope to have a similar experience in college.

From an athletic standpoint, I am a 3 sport athlete but basketball is my passion and the sport that I want to continue playing. I can score and pride myself on my ability to recognize and take good shots. I have great court vision and passing ability and I play defense with intensity. Last season I joined my team late after winning the state championship in football, but still led my team in assists, steals, 3PFG, and 3P%, and was second in scoring. 

If you want a player that will never embarrass your program, always come early and stay late to practice, maintain his grades, and be willing to do all the little things that help a team win, give me a chance.
