Hello, my name is Zac Yorke. I am just starting my first varsity season as a sophomore at Millington High School. Basketball has always been a passion of mine while growing up. Growing up in the house of a former Varsity coach I have learned the important things about the game. The strongest part of my game is my basketball I.Q. It is the reason why I am able to compete at a high level of competition. I know that knowing the game is not the only thing I need to do to succeed, and that what I need to do is continue to play and put in hours of hard work in the gym. Whether that is working on shooting, ball handling, or anything else. Another one of my strengths is that I am able to play all five positions. In school ball I played primarily point guard, but in AAU ball I play all five positions depending on what is needed for my team to win the game.
Growing up I have played many other sports besides basketball. I have played football, soccer, baseball, golf, and fast pitch softball. Throughout my grade school years I was a mentor to our first grade students, was the President of Student Council, played in the boys volleyball tournament, and tutored the younger students. I am also very active in my church. I help by running the screen, lighting the candles, ushering, and even speaking.
