Basketball is a big part of my life, and every day it becomes an even bigger part. I’m a hard worker at everything I do, I always put all my effort into something on making it perfect. That goes for basketball and school, and I think from me working hard in school and striving for good grades makes me do the same for basketball. I want to play this sport for a very long time, it’s almost like it’s attached to me and pushes me forward everyday.
whenever I was about 5 or 6 I always saw my dad watching nba games, i would never watch full length games at the time but I loved seeing people score the ball. Especially when my dad showed me Michael Jordan, and that’s really when I started to love basketball. I started playing in leagues and practicing all the time. When I got to middle school I was only in 5th grade and played on the 6th grade team, it was a big step up from playing in little leagues around town, so I had to work even harder to be able to play with older kids. I think that’s when I really started to work and push myself to become better, and once middle school was over I knew that high school would be another level. And it was, summer basketball was so much different from the regular season during middle school. So I knew I needed to put even more work in and make myself a better player. So I think that middle school has made me the hard worker that I am
In high school I hope to not only do great in basketball but I hope to keep learning and get good grades throughout. I would like to get a 4.0 grade average most years through high school, and be prepared for college when the time comes. I want to take dual credit classes and AP classes to be ready and know what I need to for college. Also I want to focus on the ACT and set myself up for getting a good score by practicing the test and studying the topics I need to for the test. I want to play at a school that pushes me not only in basketball but in school to.
