My name is Chance Scott and I'm a senior from Wichita, Kansas. I played basketball proudly for Wichita South High School on the varsity program. I am 6"9 , I can shoot the ball from any range with a soft touch, I can put the ball on the floor and can handle it, I can score with my back to the basket or face my defender up and go to the rim. I am not a typical 4/5 because I have a great outside shot from anywhere, so it causes the bigs to have to come outside to guard me leaving the paint wide open for penetration. My weaknesses are that I need some help defensively and I need to put on some weight and get a lot stronger. But I am confident all schools are working with the incoming freshmen to close those two gaps.
I was fortunate enough to be part of an amazing program, winning sub-state my first year as a transfer student/athlete, and I had a great experience at the Kansas 6A tournament. I learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership this year without a trophy. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.
Currently I have committed to continue my academic and basketball career at Kansas City Kansas Community College. I am very happy to be apart of the Blue Devil program. I am going to spend my next two years achieving my Associates degree and improving athletically. My goal is to reach the highest level possible after obtaining this.
