Update: I verbally committed to Drury University on 4/11/15.
First Team - All State, Kansas Athlete of the Week, Multiple MVP Awards
I am a versatile guard who can run point, shoot the three, get to the basket, play above the rim, and bring the best out of my teammates! I have competed effectively with the top national 2015 talent. My priority is defensive intensity, but add to that the ability to get buckets, and to read defenses that turn into scoring opportunities for the team. I deliver consistent performances, netting 19.5 PPG this season, among the best in all of Kansas.
I was named First Team All-State in Kansas 5A. During the season, I led my Spartans to the GP Classic Title, earned Tournament MVP Honors, and was named Kansas Athlete of The Week by the Capital Journal .. and to the championship final at the Ralph Miller Classic where I was named to the All Tournament Team, named to the upcoming Flint Hills All-Star Game, Flint Hills All-Star MVP. I will be representing Kansas in the upcoming USA All-Star game against the All-Louisana Team.
I have played for very good teams, including my U-17 Kansas City Pumas who won one national tournament in 2014 and seven tournaments in 2013, achieving an AAU Top 25 National Ranking. In 2014, I led the Pumas in steals, fewest turnovers, fewest fouls, second in rebounds, and third highest in scoring. In 2014 high school summer ball, I led my Emporia Spartans to the elite division final at the Oklahoma State Team Camp.
As a junior, I led my Spartans with 14.0 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 2.3 SPG, 1.3 APG, and 0.7 blocked shots per game. As a sophomore, I contributed to the varsity team record of 20-3 and final state ranking of #5.
Off the court, I also high jump, clearing 6’6” as a junior and earning a statewide ranking of #3 in Kansas. I am an excellent student, maintaining a cumulative 3.6 GPA, and earning Honor Roll status every semester through high school. I expect to graduate high school with 9 college credit hours. I also volunteer as a coach for junior Spartan basketball teams. I attend Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
