Cameron Soenksen '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Cameron Soenksen and I am currently a Freshman at Camanche High School in Camanche, Iowa.  I am a mulit-sport athlete participating in Football, track and Basketball.  This year I had the opportunity starting on a 23-4 basketball team who's ranked in the Top 6 in the state of Iowa in class 2A. We made it to the State Tournament for the first time in 32 years and placed 4th overall.  I made the Class 2A All Tournament Team.

Basketball has allowed me to show my leadership on and off the court.   I have learned so much this year playing at the varsity level as a leader, dealing with adversity, learning how to be even more coachable in all sports and dealing with pressures in tough games. Basketball has also allowed me to be a role model within the community as well as with my peers.

I am wanting to play in basketball at the college level in order to provide me an opportunity to continue my education which is my number one priority.  My goals are to work in the Sports Marketing Industry being around what I love everyday.  I also want to play college basketball to contribute positively as a team member and leader both on and off the court.
