My name is Coty Johnson and I am currently a sophomore at Woodland High School in Streator, Illinois. I have been playing organized basketball since I was 5 years old, and I've loved every second of it. Every team I've been on from third grade and above I have started on, including my current junior varsity team. However, basketball is not the only sport I succeed in and want to play in college. I come off the bench on Varsity now as a sophomore and contribute well to the team. Although sports are a huge part of my life, I am completely aware that getting a degree is so much more important. So I try to make school my top priority. College is expensive and a scholarship of any kind would certainly help. I am not sure what I want to major in, but I am leaning towards something in the Medical field, such as a physical therapist.
