Jim Leone '16 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to succeed both on the court and in the classroom.  My greatest strength is leadership; more specifically bringing out the best in my teammates and working together to win.  Personally, I am a quick-learner, quick- motivator of others, and quick-footed on the court.   This year I transformed from a small, fast point guard to a confident physical leader.    Because I was smaller I focused on playing with heart, capitalizing on chemistry and practicing mental toughness.  These qualities added to the athleticism of a 6’2” frame equals a strong point guard.  I’ve learned and grown from smart coaches and talented teammates.  These individuals have been role models to me and have encouraged me reach greater heights.  I’m confident that perseverance and hard work will pay off over time.  As much as I love basketball, my dream is to prepare for a career in business.  I am looking for a college experience that will help me grow and develop both on the court and in the business world. And, in time, I hope to give back to the community by coaching others.
