Personal Statement

My Goal is to play college basketball at the highest level that I can compete. When my basketball career is over I plan to have a degree in a field where I can be sucessfull. When I'm on the court with my teammates I make it my job to keep my teammates heads up and focused. I work as hard as I can every practice and push my teammates to make the whole team better as well. I am a coachable player and always do my best do what is asked of me. I pride myself on my work ethic and being a self motivator. I am a very even keeled player, by that I mean that I compete as hard as anyone on the court but I prefer to not get too high or too low with my emotions no matter how the game is going for my team. I want to be in control and continue to work hard. I have been told that my demeanor has a calming effect on my team when things are going a little rough. I am involved in Big Brother/Big Sister as well a Fellowship for Christian Athletes. I am a good student and realize that one day my Basketball career will end, and when it does I plan to be prepared for the world ahead.

Through the our AAU season my team was 50-18. I lead the team in scoring with a 13.25 pts per game average and I was second in rebounding at 4.2 per game. I shot 46.5% from the floor, 43.9% from the arc and 80.2% from the free throw line.
