Jacob Donaldson '17 Recruiting Profile

My love for the game dates back to when I was four years old participating in the YMCA and Rec Center basketball leagues. The thrill of the crowd’s cheering inspired me to score the ball as much as possible. In four short years I became a part of my town’s first organized traveling basketball team. Being a member of this team has shown me what it is like to be a leader and role model to the future basketball players in my community. As my outside game and size continued to develop, I added an inside game to my arsenal. I finished my 2015-2016 varsity season with double digits in the dunk category. I am a very well-rounded student athlete, who possesses exceptional leadership qualities. In my high school career I have advanced to the State Three Point Showdown, am a FCA member at my school, am a captain of the cross country team, volunteered to help coach basketball teams for younger kids, and helped teach Sunday school.  My future goals include graduating high school with a 4.0 GPA, attending a college where I intend to play basketball while earning a degree, and finding a job.
