First and foremost, I want to belong to a safe, reliable and productive program that steers student athletics such as myself in the right direction. I must be a good man in my community before a good athletic.
My speed, agility and superb ball handling skills on film has lifted my recruiting stock to get noticed by Division 1 programs. My speed has been utilized to leave even the top basketball players in the nation behind to score. My quickness has allowed me to get to players before the defense and open more opportunities to score. My goal with basketball is to win at every level and to do whatever it takes to assist my team to reach this goal!
I finished highschool considered a one of the biggest sleepers in Chicago, IL. I ran for Harlan's Elite Track team and ran the 400 meter in 53.79 and came in 3rd in the city! My team came in 4th Place running the 4x100 Relay with a time of 28.67.71 and 3rd Place in the 4x400 with a time of 47.4 overall!.
My senior year I have been invited to run with the elite Track/Field varsity team at Harlan High School. Our high school baseball team won the City Championship last year and the girls Track/Field varsity team won the state Championship.
My television appearance was on Comcast CN100 where I had the play of the game for Harlan Falcons. We successfully beat a nationally ranked team, Farragut high school which is equipped with a starting line up of Division 1 prospects! I scored a high 16 points, 3 steals, 3 rebounds, 4 for 6 from the line and was 50% from the field. Against our heated rivalry, Simeon that was televised, I scored 7 points and 4 big rebounds from their starting lineup of Division 1 prospects without the leadership of our Head Coach, Ervin Bryant! During our Senior night, we won our battle against the Hales Spartans in four overtimes. I had 14 points and 10 assists, five to a sophmore who hit 5 three points to help us defeat the last year 2A State Champions!
My highlights with the Indiana Dawgz AAU, I scored 27 points, which included four 3 point field goals to win 3rd Place at the Merryville Fieldhouse last summer. I played with ranked players from Michigan and Indiana such as 6'6 Adeleke Solanke, 6'2 Vasha Davis, 6'8 Marcus Todd, Chicago, and Valpo recruit, 6'2 Leventes Strong. Website, IndianaDawgz.com. The Indiana Dawgz Head Coach, Geoff Dan is the Head Coach for Wheeler High School. Coach Dan won a 2A State Championship with his team in 2010. His AAU team has hand selected players by invitation only.
My philosophy is to be a non-selfish player that shares the ball and believe in team effort which earned me the Captain position of my varsity basketball team Senior Year. My greatest skill and probably my trademark is my excellent defense and my speed! I have excellent dribbling skills. I can break through the press and deliver the ball down court. I beat the defense off the first step with my quickness and finishes strong. I play the position: point guard and guard (1 and 2) I have a Cross Country time of 12:09 in the 2mi run Junior Year and 12:39 Senior Year 1st Place. I am an open individual and is willing to travel for a great team, athletic program and a great major.
I am interested in broadcasting/journalism/communications major. My athletic/academic goals are to find a school/athletic program that could utilize a great defensive player, a non-selfish player and a player that is willing to work and play hard; but most importantly my choice must have a strong communications and/or broadcasting program.
