Max Basile '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Max Basile and I have been in love with sports and competition from day one. I fell in love with the game of basketball and strive to be a better individual player and teammate at every opportunity presented to me.  On the court, everything I contribute is for my teammates and moving towards the greater goal.  I am known for doing the little things on the floor that may not show up on a stat sheet, whether it be taking a charge, making a deflection, salvaging a loose ball or setting a solid screen; I want to do whatever it takes to win.  I stand at 6'3 but have a 6'7 wingspan that helps me play bigger than I appear.  Off the court, I always have the greater goal in mind and that helps me stay focused in the classroom and in training.  I pride myself on being optimistic as well, I'm the first to bring a player up who may be discouraged and cheer on another for making a play.  Basketball provides the opportunity to build relationships that will last a lifetime, along with being a stepping stone to furthering my education.  My will to win transitions into my will to succeed in whatever path my life takes.
