My name is Matthew E. Brown and I plan to attend a 4-year university to study Business management/entrepreneurship. In order to accomplish my academic goals, I currently strive to maintain a 4.0 GPA in high school while playing varsity basketball. Playing basketball gives me the opportunity to challenge myself physically and mentally. It is not enough to practice and train with the team. I push myself physically to train every day to get stronger, faster and develop my basketball IQ. I push myself mentally by studying the game and knowing all of the positions, not just the one that I am playing. I love watching the vintage games and analyzing the plays that each team executes well. I believe that professional players should be role models for my generation. I try to lead my team and help my teammates to be their best. A great player knows how to make their team great, not just themselves. As a multi-dimensional player I study the game, practice to execute according to the game, maintain good study habits, develop strong relationships with my family, teachers, and coaches and most of all...work harder than everyone else.
