Personal Statement

My first half senior season (2013-2014) highlights can be viewed at this link: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/o/2239942/highlights/122226375

I am a 6'7", 200 lb, swingman from Santa Margarita Catholic High School in Rancho Santa Margarita California. I play in the Trinity League, noted as the best league in the USA for competition.

My sister Lauren, played D1 at Northern Colorado and has been All Conference three years in a row, is in the top 10 of all time for scoring. She is now playing professionally in the top league in Germany.

I currently play under coach Jeff Reinert, who coached at Fresno St., Oregon St., and played at Gonzaga. I am a senior and this year I will be working everyday to get closer to making my dream a reality.   I am left handed but do most everything in sports with my right hand including shooting but use my left around the bucket and or my right.  I can play with my back to the basket or outside and shoot the three.  My coach will tell you my defense is very good and one of the few who takes the charge all the time.  I continue to grow and am working on my foot speed and agility constantly as well as adding bulk and muscle. I am in a very structured weight program for muscle, speed and agility until at my school and outside with a personal weight/speed coach.

I am a good citizen, focus on giving my time to community events that better our area.  All of my teachers, ex coaches and anyone associated with me will verify I am a good person with great work ethic as shown by my 4.0 and athletic abilities.

You can contact me at [email protected].  My dad can be reached at [email protected], and my high school coach  at [email protected]. Thank you in helping me turn my dream into a reality!

The thing I have been working for my entire life is to play college basketball. Whether it be in the East, Midwest, North, South or West Coast. I want to play at the highest level I can as I just want to achieve my dream of playing college basketball in any division.

Thank You!

Brett Oosdyke

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
