I have always had the desire to play college basketball because my main aspiration is to play professionally in the NBA. College basketball allows me to play the sport that I love so dearly while getting a good education. While my main goal is to make the league, I realize that a great education is the only way to be successful no matter what. I would like to study journalism and some aspects of law while I strive for my goals. College basketball would help prepare me in certain aspects of the professional league. Certain aspects would include competitiveness, physical training, and mental toughness. I realize that my chances of being drafted to NBA are higher if I play college basketball. Playing basketball in college has always been a goal of mine.
Who is Sean Benjamin? Off the court, I am a giving and humble individual. I enjoy giving back to my community. Participating in charity is a pleasure of mine. Such as handing out lunches to the homeless every Saturday with my father. I am also very helpful around my household. One example would include how I help my parents cook dinner. I also help my dad groom the yard and keep the house clean. I take my education very seriously! I take notes in all my classes and study them for any upcoming test. It took me some time to get adjusted to high school life, I am currently a C student, while I have now adjusted, my grades have improved and I am progressing very well. I love my family. I live in a stable household with my two loving supportive parents and my older sister. My family pushes me and motivates me to be the best athlete and the best person I can be, they always stress the importance of a great education and never waste my opportunities, on the court and in life. They are the reason for everything I do. Overall, off the court I am a generous God-fearing young man.
I believe the first step to being a successful college athlete is to find the right program. On the court, I am a competitor who's main focus is winning and having fun. I take pride in scoring and making my teammates look good. Basketball is my passion besides God and family. I believe that a good head coach is the key to a good program. I would love to have a coach that shares the same passion and competitiveness as I do. I desire a coach who does not take losing lightly. I play to win and I want a coach with the same desire.
