Shane Suttles '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Shane Suttles; I am 6'5 and currently weigh 195 pounds. I am positioned as a shooting guard, in the class of 2014. I attend Christopher High School in Gilroy California. I am versatile from anywhere on the court along with being a very coachable player that will do anything to improve my game and excel beyond my competition. I look forward to continuing my basketball career at a collegiate level and pushing myself to take my skills as far as I possibly can. Off of the court I try to help my community and young kids who also share a love for basketball. I spend my free time helping a Christian basketball league known as Upward Basketball. Upward Basketball is an organization ran by South Valley community church, their objective is to help young children advance themselves in basketball and also learn about God. I pride myself on being a good teammate and leader on and off the court, and strongly believe that hard work will pay off. I will sacrifice for my teammates and do whatever it takes to win. My main goal/dream for this chapter in my life is to achieve my academic and athletic goals at a collegiate level. I strongly believe that the only thing people cannot take away from you is your education. Off of the court I work hard to increase and maintain a good GPA. I currently received 3.0 first semester and a 3.33 second semester of my Junior year. My overall GPA  10-12 is a 2.91 and is increasing monthly. I have been working to attend a 4-year University and achieve a Degree in Sports Management and study Sports Sciences such as Kinesiology. Education has always been my first priority next to my love for the game of basketball.
