Jake Haar '15 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play college basketball at either the Division II, Division III, or NAIA level. I know I am capable of achieving such a goal. I believe that I am a good member of a team because I always support and encourage my teammates. I am a very un-selfish person/player, and I believe that is a quality that will be good on any team. Also, I believe education is first because I know my basketball playing days are eventually going to run out, so education is very important for my future. I have maintained a 3.5 cumulative GPA in high school and achieved a 3.7 last year as a junior. I also bring my shooting skill, play making ability, and knowledge of the game to a team. I finished my junior season with 83 made three pointers, fourth in Orange County CA, with a 3pt shooting % of 45.1%. I feel that this is my most valuable asset because I can space the floor, making it easier for me and my teammates to drive to the basket. I also had the highest assist to turnover ratio on my team, finishing the year with a 2.4 to 1. In 2014 I earned 1st Team All Sunset League & 2nd Team All CIF Southern Section for Division IA. In my free time I enjoy playing pick up ball, soccer, body surfing, FIFA, going to the movies, and playing the piano. I have been playing piano for 11 years and it is a skill I am proud of and enjoy doing. I feel that all these factors add up to make me a valuable asset on any team.
