Owen Shaw '21 Recruiting Profile

I'm a 6'5" (and growing), 170 lb athletic small forward/guard from Phoenix, Arizona. I am a strong defender with a 79" wingspan; I am fearless and able to defend the most athletic opponents on the floor. I am an efficient 3 point shooter. I am also very active without the ball. 

I love doing the extra work that not everyone is willing to do. I have a strength training and conditioning coach I see 3 days a week. I take 500 game shots in my driveway each night. I'm coachable. I welcome constructive criticism because it's an opportunity to get better. I believe there is no substitute for hard work. 

2017 Accomplishments:

This year I was a starter on the 14u WalkerMade team coached by Demetrius Walker. We were a powerhouse team that won several major tournaments including the Las Vegas Easter Classic and the Compton Classic.

Over the summer, I was the only incoming freshman invited to play summer league with the Arcadia High School varsity team. By the end of the summer season, I was a regular starter.

I can offer a team leadership through my commitment to academics, positive attitude and overall worth ethic. I'm easy going and get along with everyone. 

I would like to study business and I'm open to attending any college that will give me the opportunity to work and pursue my dream of being a collegiate athlete.

I'm starting my freshman year now and I look forward to hopefully contributing to the varsity team this year and posting updates here as I progress.
