Kareem Burgess '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kareem Burgess. I am 17 years old and currently a junior at Brooke Point High School in Stafford, Virginia. I am a hard working student athlete that takes pride in knowing that I put 110% into everything I do.  I love playing football and basketball for my school, as well as travel leagues. I have been blessed to have great coaches and mentors that have taught me to push myself beyond my limits. I am a leader, and that quality has allowed me to be a team captain.  As team captain, I have always been open to constructive criticism because I strongly believe that greatness is achieved as a team rather than individually. I also believe that success cannot be achieved without a good education.  I am dedicated to working hard to get into a college that will help me succeed academically as well as in sports. I am humbly searching for colleges that will allow me to spread my wings, take flight, and achieve the best education and training possible to be the best collegiate athlete I can be. Once I’ve achieved those goals, I will reach back to help others like myself that just need an opportunity to succeed.  Being a successful collegiate athlete would be an honor, a privilege, and a goal that would not be taken for granted.
