I'm currently a 9th grader at Clear Falls High School. Family and community are very important to me. I'm the oldest of 3 brothers and we spend a lot of time together. I enjoy sports and the outdoors and love living on Galveston Bay. I started playing football in the TIFI League at the age of 9. While I was always one of the biggest players even then, during my 6th grade year and following summer, I grew 7 inches. When I started 7th grade football, playing the game all the sudden became a lot more fun, easier, and something that I looked forward to every day. I started to realize that football was something that I could excel at and if I dedicated myself to it and worked hard, I knew I could be a really good player. It was during my 8th grade year that I knew I wanted to play football in college. Coach Gault felt I was his best offensive player on the 8th grade team because I always had a positive attitude, knew the plays and did what was asked of me. I'm easy to get along with and enjoy learning new things. I catch on quick and am very competitive. I'm dedicated to improving myself as an athlete and a student. I'm excited about the idea of playing football in college. I have been attending a local Speed & Agility Training program, when my schedule permits, to work on my strength and footwork. I also have a tutor that helps me maintain my grades, if needed. I currently take all Pre-AP and AP classes. When I'm not working out or doing homework, I like to clean and polish my 1966 Ford Mustang that I saved for and bought for myself last year. My dad and I will continue working on it over the next year until I'm old enough to drive it. I am currently an Assistant Patrol Leader in Boy Scouts and one of the activities that I like best is putting up flags in our community on Veteran's Day, Memorial Day and Independence Day. This is a great way our community honors our soldiers and veterans and I am glad to be a part of it. I also love being on the water. I sail a "laser" sailboat with a standard size sail. This is a men's single-handed sailing event in the Olympics and I've participated in pre-Olympic competition against men on the Olympic teams who are twice my age. I've gained a lot of confidence and overcome many challenges throughout my sailing experiences. Even though I may not always sail competitively, sailing has taught me a lot of discipline and responsibility. I have also been able to help younger children by being a camp counselor and have taught young kids to sail. I am looking for a college where I feel I will successfully balance coursework and my playing time. I hope to find a college where my playing position is needed and I can develop a good rapport & relationship with coaching staff and other players. I look forward to the recruiting process and the chance for new experiences.
