When it comes to describing the perfect life, there are a few things that stand out for me. Having a strong support system surrounding my parents and siblings is something I am blessed to have. Even though there are some days when we don't see eye to eye, I know that I would have never made it this far without their guidance. Being able to play football is another one of those things that make up the perfect life. From the moment I first touched a football, I knew I had found my passion. Football is my remedy for anything stressful going on in my life. Football is my celebration for all things going good in my life. Every time I place my helmet on to play, win or lose, I am going to give it my all. I am going to play every game with every bit of talent and determination I possess. When I enter the gym, I have the opportunity to feed my love of football through intense workouts and drills. I don't always like getting up and going to the gym, but once I hit those doors, I am glad to be there an eager to train.
The game of football requires a lot of determination and discipline. There are many things that have to happen off the field in order to successfully perform on the field. For me, football is not just a game, it is a lifestyle. The determination and discipline I put to football is displayed through maintaining above average grades, and striving every day to be an obedient, respectful and determined young man. I am the oldest of three and have two young sisters who look up to me. I am determined to be the best example of a big brother and overall human being for them. My parents constantly motivate me and push me sometimes to charge after my dreams. I am determined to make them proud that their investment in me was well worth every lecture, every bit of heartache I'm sure I have caused them thus far. I am determined to be the very best football player I can be. In charging down the path of preparing for college, it is my belief that these qualities make me an asset for any college team I would be privileged to play on. My ability take constructive feedback and implement it is another asset I possess. Being able to experience rejection and loss has reinforced my resilience to continue to strive to be better every day.
