Football drives me to be a better student and player, it helps me learn new skills, make new friends, be a leader, and role model to teammates and to my younger brothers. When I was four I would always cry and beg my mom to let me play football it wasn’t until I was five that that she let me play football. I continued to play throughout my youth for the city league in El Paso. I have overcome multiple moves with my family which had me play for two different middle schools in two different cities. This has given me the ability to adapt and transition to different coaching styles with ease. My academic goals for high school are to continue to maintain my grades at the highest standard and get selected for National Junior Honor society. I also plan on joining extra-curricular activities and other clubs at school. Lastly, if I am given the opportunity to attend and play at this university I feel that my strong leadership, academic achievements, commitment, and love of the game will benefit the team and university.
My collegiate goals are to obtain my degree in the engineering field with the highest GPA and to help/coach fellow teammates either on or off the field. I also plan to compete and show my dedication to the team and contribute so our team can compete within our conference and division to the furthest level.
