Andrew Cuellar '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Andrew Cuellar. I am currently a 9th grader at a high Achieving school called Veritas Academy in Austin, Tx.

    For the first 13 years of my life I grew up a fat and lazy kid. It wasn't until I came to this private school, and played my first year of six man football that I realized what I could be. After that 8th grade season ended I knew I had a love for the game. I made a goal to start at least 1, just 1 Varsity game. I started asking coaches what I could do to become stronger, better and meet my goal. For 7 straight months I worked out at least 4 times a week thinking of the upcoming season.

    Going into the start of the season I gave, regrettably, almost every thing I got. Towards the post-season, I knew that my hard work had payed off, by starting 4 games and playing 6 (not counting special teams). After we lost the state, I knew that I could be better next year and the day after started lifting for the 2018 season. My goals for playing football are to make it to a D1 school, grow as a man, and preform to the best of my abilities. I am willing to do anything to get a full scholarship for football. I try everyday single day to grow in strength, talent, and performance to make my goals.
